Location: Online via Zoom
Together we will celebrate the richness of aging through the lens of film. The films portray stories about the lives, challenges, and triumphs of older adults. This Course is designed for seniors who enjoy cinema. We'll discuss a variety of movies and themes: friendship, relationships, adventure, history, comedy and resilience in later years that offer something for everyone. These films are available on Netflix.

The course will focus on Dan Buettner鈥檚 recent book and Netflix series: Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones, which is a four-part Netflix documentary discussing the 5 regions in the world (and the new US Blue Zone Communities) where centenarians live remarkably long and healthy lives. The Netflix series is narrated by Dan Buettner.

Beachcomber Basket

Location: Swan Bay Folk Art Center, 300 Sooys Landing Road, Port Republic

This wooden bottom basket is woven in colors representing the sand, water and sun. It is perfect for collecting shells on the beach.

Caramel Popcorn Basket

In this workshop, students will complete a Shaker style cat鈥檚 head basket with a seagrass accent. Students will also receive a recipe to serve in this basket.

Farmer鈥檚 Market Basket

This deep 10* x 10" x 14" rectangular basket would be very useful for gardening or carrying home your produce from the market. It has an oak center grip handle.
