What Are My Options?

Note: Applying for an education abroad/study abroad program in the is free. We advise students to apply to one (1) program per semester after their OGE 101 Consultation. Once a student confirms their program and initiates the pre-departure process, all matriculated students on 快播视频-approved programs abroad pay a one-time, $200 study abroad fee. Non-matriculated students pay $300.
Exchange Programs
- Study abroad at one of 快播视频's Global Partner Institutions. We host 25 institutions in 19 countries on every continent around the world.
- Pay 快播视频's tuition & fees maximizing your Financial Aid benefits. Housing and meals costs are dependent on the partner institution, and typically paid by the student.
- Complete the course pre-approval form in order for credits to be transfered back to 快播视频 after your program abroad.
- Students will apply with the ViaTRM Portal, and the OGE Team will submit a nomination for approval to the host institution.
Provider Program
- Study abroad through a diverse list of third-party providers, all pre-approved and verified by 快播视频.
- Find additional locations and programs for all academic majors across the globe, beyond 快播视频's Exchange Partners.
- Provider programs also offer short-term programs, internships, and service-learning/community engagement programs providing flexibility for academic schedules.
- Students must complete 2 applications (First, 快播视频 application, then, Provider specific application)
- Tuition, fees, and housing costs are paid directly to the provider in a payment plan. Federal Financial Aid applies in most cases, but not State or 快播视频-specific aid.
- Complete the pre-approval form so credits will be transferred back to 快播视频 after your program abroad.
Term Length: 2-6 weeks, Summer-Term, Winter-Term, Fall-Term, Spring-term, Full year
Providers: WorldStrides, CEA CAPA/CIS Abroad, CIEE, Kaya Responsible Travel, and Adventure EXP
Faculty-Led Program
- Faculty Led Programs combine an academic course with a required travel component for an additional fee. The additional fee is the exact costs of the travel expenses.
- Early registration with the faculty memeber is required as part of a course, with official course registraiton (usually requiring Permission of Instructor) occuring after the payment plan has already begun.
- Travel with the faculty and class members often occurs during a traditional break in the semester (Thanksgiving Break, Spring Break, etc.), at the end of semester, or during J-term (Winter Break).
- FLPs are led by two 快播视频 faculty or staff who travel with students for safety and risk management.
- FLPs are great for students who have limited travel availability, graduating seniors, or lack previous travel experience.
National Student Exchange (NSE)
- Study Away in the USA or Canada, including Hawai'i, Alaska, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.
- NSE features over 170 institutions across the US and Canada for all majors, allowing students to study abroad in a more affordable way. NSE benefits include minimized travel costs, accessibility for those unable to leave the country or students without a passport, those interested in a shorter travel distance, and/or those who need to be closer to home on short notice.
- Pay 快播视频's tuition & fees, maximizing your Financial Aid benefits. Housing and meals costs are dependent on the partner institution and paid by the student. Due to the diverse selection of schools, Room & Board costs at NSE schools are often less expensive than 快播视频's per semester.
- Complete the course pre-approval form in order for credits to be transferred back to 快播视频 after your program away.
- Students will have 2 applications to complete. The first application is in the ViaTRM Portal for 快播视频 approval. Once approved by 快播视频's OGE, the second application is submitted on the website with your top 5 school choices. Note: NSE collects a $150 application fee (non-refundable) each semester you apply.
- Placement: Each Spring, NSE Schools match with their prospective students during a national placement event (Priority Placement), based on availability of the school and student academics. After the Priority Placement, an open enrollment period called "Direct Placement" occurs for students, with most NSE schools still offering placement.
